Leicester vs Liverpool preview prediction

Liverpool vs Leicester prediction & preview 2016-09-10:

On the 10th of september Liverpool welcomes Leicester City over at Anfield. The teams are currently tied in the premier league at 4 points each and both teams have had a sub par start to their season so far. With important points on the line this fixture offers great sports betting value which we will reveal for you with our prediction. The two teams share one thing in common in their first matches of the season, they’ve both lost a game each to bottom tier teams.

Jurgen Klopp and his men will have a nice boost coming into this game as there have been rumors that newly acquired super star Sadio Mane wouldn’t start due to getting injured yet again, something which would’ve been a major set back for the team but Sadio has stated that he’s perfectly fit for the fixture.  With Benteke’s departure to Crystal Palace during the transfer window Mane is a crucial player to remain fit in order to boost the team with his presence.

Leicester on the other hand have had issues with getting Mahrez and Vardy going since the departure of N’Golo Kanté. Mahrez in particular has only scored once in these first few games and that’s after getting the chance at two penalties.

Liverpool vs Leicester  Head to Head:

Liverpool will be coming into this game with  2 defeats, 2 victories and 1 draw in their latest 5 games. Liverpool started out the season with a 4-3 victory over the gunners in an away game in which Sadio Mane made his presence clear  with the fourth goal. Sadio then became injured which was one of the contributing factors to the team’s loss against Burnley, a game in which Liverpool was heavy favourites yet managed to lose with 0-2.

The combination of Mane and Coutinho on top will surely be Liverpool’s greatest strength this season as they now have two very competent wingers that can get Sturridge or Firmino going.

Liverpool will be without Loris Karius, Sheyi Ojo, Ragnar Klavan and Emre Can whom are all reported injured.

Leicester will be coming into this game with 3 defeats, 1 draw and 1 victory in their latest 5 games. Last year’s premier league winners have got a very dissapointing start to the season as they lost their first title chance when Zlatan Ibrahimovic made the deciding 2-1 goal at the community shield (as predicted by the viking). Raineri’s men then lost to Hull in their premiere game even though Mahrez scored an equalizing penalty to make the game 1-1. Leicester’s biggest issue is that Vardy and Mahrez haven’t really got going as they did last year, though the team has made it into the Champions League group stage and they could’ve put a lot of focus on their games there to secure the advancement money that comes with it.

Leicester will be without Yohan Benalouane for this fixture as he is reported injured.

Predicted outcome:

The viking’s prediction for this game is a draw at either 2-2 or 1-1. The points are very important here for both teams and we should expect either team that gets behind to raise their game and hunt for an equalizer. Both teams have their offense as their greatest strength and that’s where both managers seems to have put their focus during the transfer window. For Raineri the challenge was to keep both Mahrez and Vardy which he succeded with. For Jurgen Klopp on the other hand the challenge was to find someone to complement Sturridge and Firmino and he did so by replacing Benteke with Mane, a smart choice for a coach which has three centre forwards to choose from.

The other good picks for this fixture are the over 2.5 goals pick (should be played even if you don’t agree with our draw prediction) and the both teams to score pick.
