On saturday the 19th of september Chelsea will welcome Arsenal to Stamford bridge. Both teams have made some impressive acquisitions during the trade window, most notably for Chelsea was “stealing” away Pedro from Barcelona during negotiations with Manchester United and most notably for this game was the transfer of Petr Chech from Chelsea to Arsenal. A transfer which the viking finds strange as goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is having a tremendous start to his season in Roma while Chech has been having a harder time in Arsenal. It´s very likely that this will be a pressured game for Chech as he had been in Chelsea for 11 years prior to the transfer, the viking expects that the fans will “slaughter him alive” in this game. The last time these two teams clashed was on the 2nd of august and resulted in a 1-0 win for Arsenal but that time they had homefield advantage, you can read more about that game here.
Arsene wengers Arsenal have turned the tide of their slow premier league start in their latest games and have climbed up in the premier league standings nicely. They are coming into this game with two victories and a draw in their three latest premier league games and things are really starting to look quite promising. Their injuries for this game looks to be the following players: Tomas Rosicky, Per Mertesacker, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck.
Last years premier league winners Chelsea on the other hand are currently at the bottom of the premier league standings following an away victory over West Brom and two consecutive defeats versus Everton and Crystal Palace. Chelsea is likely to se the return of Oscar for this game but the key player goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will not play and it looks like he will be gone for at least another two months.
Things are looking bad for Mourinhos men and they really need to pull off a win in this important game versus one of the top contenders in the league. Neither team will want to lose to much early points to the Manchester teams which are looking very impressive this season. Arsenal might be happy with a defencive performance in this game so that they can keep up with said teams and on the same time keep Chelsea down in the standings.
The viking belives that the prebet value for this game lies in X and in the under selections. However it could be wiser to get a feel for the game during the first 20 minutes when superstar players such as Pedro, Fabregas and Diego Costa could pressure a presumably unstable Petr Chech. And with Thibaut Courtois gone for Chelsea you will need to look at both Asmir Begovics performance and at Arsenals game plan for this game. If either team are pressuring and either goalkeeper is looking shaky then consider the over 2.5 goals instead and the “both teams will score” selection.
